LSPO Committees

Communications (Website & Newsletters):   Be part of a team who helps parents stay up-to-date with the latest from LSPO, LSRHS and the Community. Help out with updating the easy to maintain LSPO WordPress website and the weekly newsletter.

Community Ties:  The Community Ties mission is to celebrate the diversity of the students and their families at LSRHS, and to foster strong relationships between its communities that will allow students to discover and develop their unique talents, abilities, and interests. The Community Ties committee aligns with LSRHS goals to graduate successful global citizens by providing support to community-based events and initiatives, and by promoting representation and inclusiveness to all the communities within the LSPO and its sponsored events. In this way, we hope that the different communities will work together to enrich our families and students' experiences, skills, and growth by learning and providing different perspectives and insights.

LS Directory: The LSRHS Student Directory is a resource for students, families and staff of the high school. Along with family donations, the proceeds of the Directory sales are the only source of funding for the LSPO. Committee members in charge of the Directory keep the information updated and available to families who opt to buy the directory. Other tasks these committee members need to perform include: updating and preparing the email and advertisement sent before the school year starts for families to sign up, verify, and update their information, manage the directory platform and issues families might experience when signing up, review the annual contract with AtoZ and Membership Toolkit, and retrieve relevant school information that needs to be added to the Directory.
Social Media Team:  Help out with LSPO Facebook page and other potential social media platforms.

Staff Appreciation / Hospitality:  This committee at the LSPO  provides occasional refreshments throughout the year, as well as, the food for the staff before Back to School Night and at the End of the Year Staff Luncheon.

Welcoming & Recruiting: The mission of the Welcoming Committee is to help families and students new to LSRHS by promoting opportunities to connect and understand the Lincoln Sudbury community. The Welcoming Committee will focus on events that support community and school spirit, as well as assisting to find resources that can answer questions that new families may have.

Zen Zone:  The goal of the Zen Zone is to coordinate, support and promote events and activities to reduce or counteract stress felt by students, teachers and staff at school. The Zen Zone recognizes that there are many sources of stress in our school community and, while we cannot alleviate all of the different pressures experienced by each person, we are committed to finding ways to offer some stress-relief opportunities, either directly or indirectly, especially during highly demanding academic periods.
