Volunteers Needed for Foam Recycling


Sustainable Sudbury needs volunteers for our foam recycling collection on October 4th at Curtis Middle School, 9am-Noon.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COLLECTION:

The recycling collection takes place between 9am and Noon on October 4th in the Curtis Middle School Parking lot on Pratt's Mill Road. It's free for current Sustainable Sudbury members. If you're membership is up for renewal, you can renew at the collection, or if you prefer, pay a $5 fee.

Our recyling company, Refoamit, accepts the following foam items:
The usual Styrofoam packing foam that comes with big items like new TVs
Any foam that has the recycling symbol 6 PS in the triangle such as:
Packing blocks
Produce and meat trays (MUST have a #6 in the recycling symbol)
Take out containers with #6 recycling symbol
Hot cups such as Dunkin' Donuts, Honey Dew and Cumberland Farms,
Foam egg cartons
Rinsed school trays
White insulation board

We now ALSO accept: #5 PP PolyPro Foam, #4 LDPE - Low and High Density Polyethylene (soft and bounces back) - please package separately, Pipe insulation,

Peanuts and bubble wrap, PLEASE BAG SEPARATELY
