The League of Women Voters of Sudbury will hold its 62nd annual Candidates’ Night Monday, March 5, for candidates running for town office and school committee seats.

Candidates’ Night will be held in the auditorium at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, 390 Lincoln Rd., in Sudbury. The program starts at 7:30 p.m., with a chance to meet the candidates starting at 7:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The election is Monday, March 26, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are 17 seats on this year’s ballot. Candidates’ Night will feature the candidates in the two contested races: three candidates for two seats on the Board of Selectmen and three candidates for two seats on the Sudbury School Committee (K-8).

Other positions on the ballot without contested races are moderator, board of assessors, two Goodnow Library trustees, board of health, Sudbury Housing Authority, two park and recreation commissioners, three planning board members, and two Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee seats.

Given the auditorium layout, audience questions will not be taken once the program begins. Questions for candidates in contested races may be submitted in advance by email to until 5 p.m. Friday, March 2. People attending Candidates’ Night may also bring their questions written on index cards or similar-sized paper or may write their questions on index cards at the high school before the program begins.

Candidates’ Night will be shown live on Sudbury cable Channel 8 (Comcast) and Channel 31 (Verizon) and will be repeated several times before the election. The program will also be available on the station’s website,, as a video-on-demand option.
