  • A is for ACE Awards, May 2-6

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2-6 and what better way to show your outstanding educator that you appreciate all of the work s/he does for your student than with an ACE (Appreciation of Champions in Education) Award. When you make a donation to SERF (Sudbury Education Resource Fund) in honor of a teacher, specialist, tutor or administrator, the honored educator receives an ACE Award Certificate indicating that a donation has been made to SERF in his or her name as a "Champion in Education." The school principal also receives notice of the award, so that the honoree can be recognized among the school's faculty and staff. Your donation improves the classroom experience by enabling SERF to fund grant requests made by Sudbury educators (K-12) for innovative projects, technology and materials. Order your tax-deductible ACE Awards online at the SERF website . Deadline for Teacher Appreciation Week ACE Award requests is Monday,

  • SERF Update 2016

SERF (Sudbury Education Resource Fund) has been extremely busy putting your donations into classrooms and our Sudbury schools this year. Since September, SERF has awarded eighteen grants totaling over $30,000! Congratulations to the staff and administration of both SPS and LSRHS. The level of creativity and commitment to our students as demonstrated through the breadth of the grant applications has been truly remarkable.

LSRHS brought in Congressional Gold Medal award winner Dr. Terrence Roberts to speak to the students regarding the racial climate of our culture. In 1957 Dr. Roberts, along with eight others, became the first African American students to be integrated into Little Rock Central High School. Dr. Roberts speaks to students of all ages about his experiences and the importance racial equality. Finally, the Applied Technology department at LSRHS was awarded a grant to partially fund a CNC Router which is a piece of equipment that can
